BOTOX® Cosmetic is therapeutic muscle-relaxing agent working the muscles that cause wrinkles in people from 18 to 65 years of age. The relaxed muscle allows the skin to smooth out persistent lines that develop over time. BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments usually last about 15-20 minutes and keep the muscles that cause lines relaxed for up to four months. Results are visible within 7-10 days after treatment, and treatment is fast, simple, and minimally invasive.
Who is BOTOX® Cosmetic for?
Botox is for men and women of many different age groups. Younger patients and those without lines yet, can benefit from small amounts of Botox to prevent overactive muscles from producing more permanent lines. Some people think that, because they are in their 20s or 30s, they are too young for Botox. This is not true, as it is actually better if you start your Botox treatments early before the lines become visible. Botox is great for prevention! Older patients, and those who have already developed lines and wrinkles, will benefit from Botox with time, in reducing visible lines. It is never too late to start Botox. The skin can become smooth again, it just may take a few treatments for the skin to relax. Laser treatments can also greatly improve the texture of the skin.

What areas of the face do we use Botox® in?
We use Botox® on the upper and lower face as well as the neck. We also use it to shape the jaw line. Most of our clients use Botox® for both prevention and treatment of wrinkles and are very happy with the results. We also treat Hyperhydrosis of the palms and axilla (arm pits). We do not however treat migraine with Botox® cosmetic at our facility.
How do we price our Botox®?
Botox® is measured and bought in units. It is best to always know how many units of Botox® you are getting as this will determine your cost, treatment effectiveness or excess! We try to use the minimum amount of units to achieve subtle results.
How do we decide how many units of Botox® to use?
Mostly importantly we need to discuss your desired results. Then we will consider all the following factors: your age and sex, area/s needing treatment.
Medications to Avoid Prior to Treatment
Discuss with us and your primary physician your exact medication list prior to stopping, but typically avoid your blood thinners (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, alcohol, omegas, flaxseed oil, fish oil, vitamin D3, and vitamin E) for 3-5 days prior to your treatment.
Potential Side Effects
Localized redness, tenderness, swelling, subtle bruising, mild headache, very rare possibility of eye droopiness or infection.
